PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from forgetting to process emails, etc., by setting unprocessed emails on hold for storage, and reporting the presence of the emails on hold to the user. SOLUTION: The user can indicate that a desired email should be set on hold, by starting a hold indicating part 44. In cases where an important email among a plurality of received mails cannot be dealt with immediately, the email is set on hold. The email indicated to be on hold is stored in a hold folder 24 by a hold mail storage function 34. When the user displays a list of emails within a holder 21, the hold mail reporting function 40 is started to search for emails stored in the hold folder 24.
