PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caking prevention method whereby caking of a polymerizable moisture-absorptive powder is efficiently prevented with a small amount of a dry gas and the powder is enabled to be easily and quickly discharged from a container. SOLUTION: In the method for preventing caking of a polymerizable moisture-absorptive powder, the powder yielded from an aqueous solution by a water separation step is transferred into or stored in a storage vessel; then, a dried gas is supplied to the vessel to replace a moist gas near the powder with the dried gas. The vessel has a port for charging the powder into the vessel, a port for discharging the powder from the vessel to fill it into a container, and a dry-gas charging port and a dry-gas exhaust port both arranged at the bottom of the vessel. The dry gas with a relative humidity equal to or lower than the critical relative humidity of the powder is charged through the dry-gas charging port into the vessel to subject the powder to bubbling.
