PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and recovering calcium phosphate or magnesium phosphate crystals having a low moisture content from a phosphorous acid-containing plating waste solution. SOLUTION: In the method for separating and recovering phosphoric acid as calcium phosphate or magnesium phosphate by subjecting phosphorous acid in a phosphorous acid-containing plating waste solution to oxidation treatment into phosphoric acid, thereafter adding calcium salt or magnesium salt to the waste solution, the oxidation conversion factor of the phosphorous acid in the waste solution into phosphoric acid is controlled to the range of 50 to 95%.
