PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device capable of conveying and controlling an object to be conveyed by a simple configuration at low cost and to provide an image reading device and an image forming apparatus provided with the conveyance device. SOLUTION: This conveyance device 1 has a linear motor 13 as a driving source for conveying an object to be conveyed by lifting/lowering it, guide mechanisms 14, 15 guiding conveyance of the object to be conveyed, a first knocking member 11 attached to the object to be conveyed and a second knocking member 12 provided by opposing to the first knocking member, and a travel control mechanism for controlling travel of the object to be conveyed to suppress it. A travel suppressing mechanism suppresses travel of the object to be conveyed by moving the first knocking member downward together with the object to be conveyed, approaching the second knocking member, and engaging so as to knock mutually.
