PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely remove impurities, and also effectively wash a filter member even though the flow of fluid is changed in either of regular and reverse directions. SOLUTION: The outlet end of a branch pipe 2a on the upper stream side and the inlet end of the branch pipe 2b on the down stream side are individually provided with two running water ports 6 being communicated with both branch pipes 2a and 2b and the inside of a case 3 so that one side of which communicates with the inside of a mesh filter 11. Also one side of the running water port 6 is provided with on-off valves 8 and 9 which allow the flow of city water from each of the branch pipes 2a and 2b to the inside of the filter mesh 11, and the other side of the running water port 6 is provided with the on-off valves 8 and 9 which allow the flow of city water from the inside of the case 3 to each of the branch pipes 2a and 2b, respectively. Further, within the mesh filter 11, a suction pipe 25 communicating with the atmosphere through a valve 23 and also having a suction port 27 allowing city water to suck from the outside of the mesh filter 11 is provided so as to enable rotation operation to be carried out from the outside thereof.
