PURPOSE: A method for rescanning a system of a mobile communication terminal is provided to receive predetermined data from a current connected system even in the middle of rescanning a high-priority system. CONSTITUTION: The monitor time of a currently connected system is set up by using a timer(S10). A rescanning work is executed to be connected with a high-priority system(S20). It is judged whether the rescanning work is completed(S30). If not, it is judged whether the set time expires(S40). If so, the rescanning work is stopped to be returned to the current low-priority system, and it is monitored whether an incoming message arrives(S50).
