LCD FABRICATING METHOD TO REDUCE THE UNIT COST OF PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a fabricating method thereof are provided to reduce the unit cost of production and simplify processes by omitting an alignment film coating and rubbing process. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate(20) has a gate electrode(21). A channel layer(23) and source and drain electrodes(25,26) are formed on the array substrate. A protective film covers the result material, and has a contact hole(28) which exposes the drain electrode. A pixel electrode(29) formed on the protective film fills the contact hole. A color filter pattern(30) formed on a pixel electrode structure has a fine groove(30a) in its surface.
