<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data printing system and its method which enable a plurality of printers to concurrently print, using only a single printer having display list conversion functions. <P>SOLUTION: In order to execute receiving and printing the image data generated by a host computer 1, a main printer 2 having a display list conversion part 3 for converting the image data into a display list as an intermediate language, is connected at the output end of the host computer 1. A plurality of sub printers 4a, 4b, 4c, ..., 4n which do not have the function of converting into the display list, are connected at the output end of this main printer 2. The main printer 2 performs conversion into the display list and printing, and transfers the display list with smaller data volume to the sub printers 4a, 4b, 4c, ..., 4n. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
