<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of synchronizing music playing and waveform data output whose minimum resolution values at the time of reproducing are different without generating any error and eliminating the necessity for specific control data or the like for the synchronization and specific processing for error correction. <P>SOLUTION: It is defined that MIDI clock frequency is X, PCM clock frequency is Y, an integer value obtained by dividing Y by X is al, its residual integer value is b2, a1+1=a2, and X-b2=b1. A state that the MIDI clock is outputted only once when PCM clocks are outputted by a1 times is continued for b1 times, and then a state that the MIDI clock is outputted only once when PCM clocks are outputted a2 times is continued for b2 times. The pattern for continuing both the states is repeated.
