<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating device or the like capable of generating a more natural image. <P>SOLUTION: An image information storing part 201 stores image information including plate like polygons which can be arranged in three-dimensional virtual space. A plurality of texture images of a three-dimensional object to be displayed as seen from all directions are respectively stored in texture addresses in accordance with a predetermined rule in a texture region of a frame buffer 202. An image generating part arranges so that front faces of the plate like polygons face a viewpoint position, it specifies a texture image which will be a target of the texture region on the basis of an angle between a reference direction vector preset in the plate like polygon and a normal vector of the plate like polygon facing the viewpoint position, and it generates an image of the object as seen from the viewpoint position by mapping the specified texture image on the plate like polygons. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
