<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enables a player to accurately select the images to be displayed in a game. <P>SOLUTION: The subject game machine has an image display device which carries out the stereoscopical display of the images pertaining to the game and a display control means for controlling the display of the images on the image display device. A permeable member is provided between the image display device and the player. Variable display games are carried out by the variable display of the identifying information displayed on the image display device and the special game states can be generated to offer the specified game values being related to the result aspects of the variable display games. The image display device is constituted of a stereoscopic image display device which displays images on left and right eyes of the player with a parallax therebetween to enable the stereoscopic visual recognition of the images and has a detection means for detecting objects in a detection area provided ahead of the permeable member.
