PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus reduced in size and improved in image quality. SOLUTION: The shape of an optical scanning device mount frame 16 mounting an optical scanning device 2 is trapezoidal, and asymmetrical with respect to a center line CL thereof, and a short side part and a long side part are attached to a first and a second frames 13 and 14 of the apparatus, respectively. The optical scanning device mount frame 16 can be formed by eliminating a part of a conventional rectangular optical scanning device mount frame, creating a space for attaching parts on the side of the first frame, and a driving device 15 is placed inside the first frame 13 so that the apparatus can be reduced in size. Since the optical scanning device mount frame 16 is asymmetrical with respect to the center line thereof CL, as compared with one having a symmetrical shape, an eigenvalue of vibration can be shifted to a high frequency, and the mount frame is resistant to vibrate.
