PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent transfer efficiency and to provide a method capable of manufacturing such a toner. SOLUTION: At least one part of a dispersion medium is eliminated from a dispersion liquid prepared by dispersing a dispersoid which comprises material containing resin, thereby, the dispersoid is solidified and granular bodies are formed. The dispersoid contains a colorant therein and satisfies the relation: 2≤D/d≤200, wherein, the average particle size of the dispersoid is d (μm) and the average particle size of the granular bodies is D (μm). Therein, the average particle size D of the granular bodies is 2-15μm and the average particle size d of the dispersoid is 0.08-1.2μm. The granular bodies are prepared by combining plural pieces of the dispersoid as primary particles and traces of the primary particles remain on at least one part of the surface.
