PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resistant/oil-resistant cellulose substantially composed of only cellulose without carrying out lamination with a synthetic polymer film, coating with a fluorine/silicon-based chemical, etc., use of a sizing agent and resin processing, etc. SOLUTION: The formed product of cellulose substantially composed of only cellulose and having ≥50°contact angle to water is obtained by carrying out heating/drying treatment of cellulose in the presence of caustic soda or carrying out mechanical kneading/powdering in the presence of hydrophobic organic solvent and exposing a specific crystal surface [(110)face] or a sheet structure derived therefrom on cellulose surface.
