PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide time-division multiplex communication terminal equipment capable of efficiently using a communication channel and flexibly coping with a change in a terminal connected to the communication channel, and to provide a method for determining the assignment of a time slot. SOLUTION: The slot number of the time slot is set over the boundary of a frame on the communication channel. The time slot assigned to each terminal is specified by using the numerical value of remainders obtained by dividing the slot number by the sum of the time slot assigned to each terminal in a system.
