PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable capable of stabilizing the loss characteristics of the cable and raising the identification. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable is constituted by preparing 12 lines of optical fibers 3-1 to 3-12 and by longitudinally applying with adhesive 13, in which an adhesive layer 33 is provided on the surface on which these optical fibers 3-1 to 3-12 are arranged in parallel so as to hold the fibers in up and down directions and by arranging them so as to be housed in the housing part 5 provided in a cable sheath 9. In the cable sheath 9, roughly V-shaped notched parts 11 which indicate cleavage positions are established on a face orthogonal to the direction of the longitudinal axis of the housing part 5 and tension members 7 which absorb tension in the stretch direction of the cable are established near both ends of the cross-section of the housing part 5 of the cable sheath 9.
