PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix display device which can reduce the labor and time for repair by specifying an abnormal driving circuit among driving circuits driving a matrix display panel through single screen display. SOLUTION: The matrix display device has a source driver part 9 constituted by interposing auxiliary circuits 10-1 to 10-3 in data start signal lines 8-2 to 8-4, and makes an auxiliary circuit, monitoring whether a data start signal is outputted from an abnormal source driver IC outputs a dummy data start signal when one, two, or three of source driver ICs 5-1 to 5-3 are abnormal and output no data start signal.
