PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanner having less localization of temperature on an fθlens surface and less deviation of a scanning starting position of a scanning beam. SOLUTION: An integrated circuit 44 is arranged on a printed board 18 on the scanning starting side for a laser beam to scan a lens 60B. Accordingly, air around the integrated circuit 44 ascended by the integrated circuit 44 is guided to the lens 60B side and to the outside of the standing wall 15 through a gap provided between the lens 60B and a fixed plate 78. In addition, by installing a shield plate 88 between the lens 60B and the integrated circuit 44, radiation heat generated from the integrated circuit 44 is shielded, and also the air with the temperature raised by the integrated circuit 44 is prevented from directly flowing onto the surface of the lens 60B. As a result, in the scanning direction of the lens 60B, localization of the surface temperature of the lens 60B can be reduced, which in turn reduces the deviation of the starting position of the scanning beam.
