Metallic nickel is used as a catalyst material in many areas of chemistry, for example in methane reforming. In order to accelerate the chemical reaction (reforming), nickel is integrated into the gas flow as a catalyst. According to the respective construction of the installation, it is technically complex and thus expensive to introduce the nickel catalyst and maintain the same in the position thereof on surfaces with complex surface geometry, especially inside pipelines or alveolar and/or reticular components. The invention relates to a very simple, economical and effective method for coating the surface of a metallic carrier material with a nickel catalyst, that can be used especially even if the carrier material has complicated surface geometry. |
