LOOKUP TABLE DEVICE AND SIGNAL CONVERSION METHOD

A lookup table device adapted to convert a digital input signal into a predetermined digital output signal corresponding to the digital input signal. This device includes a separator information storage unit 10 in which separator information representing the sections of digital input signals corresponding to digital output signals of various levels is stored; a section generator unit 12 which, in response to a digital input signal, forms a section, to which the digital input signal belongs, on the basis of the separator information stored in the partition information storage unit; and a signal output unit 14 adapted to output a digital output signal correpsonding to a section formed by the section generator unit.
