PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to improve quality of water treated in wastewater treatment facility, reduce load of terminal disposal plant and greatly reduce suspended solids flown in activated carbon facility by injecting floating sludge into precipitation tanks again so that the floating sludge is settled. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) comprises a collection part(20) comprising a sludge pushing plate(15) which is fixed to the lower part side of a frame(10) and positioned at the surface of treated water of settling tanks, and a driving cylinder(22) for lifting and lowering the sludge pushing plate so that the sludge pushing plate is rotated together with the frame by rotation of driving motor(7) in the state that the sludge pushing plate is dipped into a lower part of the surface of the treated water; a sludge clear away part(40) comprising a mesh(42) for hauling up floating sludge (Sa) collected on the surface of the treated water of the settling tanks, and a motor(44) for rotating the mesh; a drying part(60) comprising a blowing hood(62) installed at the upper part side of the sludge clear away part, a blower(64) for providing the blowing hood with air, and a heater for heating the air so that the floating sludge is dried on the mesh; and a separation part(80) comprising an air header(82) for ejecting air onto the mesh from the upper part side of the sludge clear away part, and a moving cylinder(84) for moving the air header back and forth on the mesh to separate and remove the floating sludge from the mesh so that the floating sludge is settled into a lower part of the settling tanks.
