PURPOSE: An optical source driving device for controlling the feedback of an optical source for a display device is provided to maintain electric stability by stopping the operation of a lamp unit which is normally operated or the operation of a lamp unit when abnormality is generated in a corresponding tube current path. CONSTITUTION: An inverter(920) supplies a voltage to a lamp unit(910), and lights the lamp unit. A lamp sensing unit(940) senses whether abnormality exists in a current path of the lamp unit. A state information signal generating unit(960) judges a current state of the lamp unit according to a signal from the lamp sensing unit, compares the judged current state with a previous state of the lamp unit, and generates a corresponding state information signal. An inverter control unit(930) controls the inverter on the basis of the state information signal.
