摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for an internal combustion engine capable of appropriately responding to a misfire of the engine in a raised pressure starting mode. <P>SOLUTION: In fuel injection control device, when a misfire occurs at a first cycle of fuel injection in raised pressure starting (Y of S10), a fuel injection quantity at the first cycle is compared with a prescribed quantity P (S16), and if the fuel injection quantity is at least the prescribed quantity P (N of S16), raised pressure starting is stopped (S18), and normal starting is conducted (S20). If the fuel injection quantity is not more than the prescribed quantity P (Y of S16), the fuel injection quantity is compared with a prescribed quantity Q (S22), and if the fuel injection quantity is at least the prescribed quantity Q (N of S22), a fuel injection quantity at a second cycle is made equal to the fuel injection quantity at the first cycle (S24). If the fuel injection quantity is not more than the prescribed quantity Q (Y of S22), the fuel injection quantity at the second cycle is made larger than the fuel injection quantity at the first cycle (S26), thus suppressing the occurrence of a misfire at the second cycle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
