<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll for continuous hot-dip metal plating capable of preventing a roll shaft part from coming off from a roll body part during the use, suppressing cracks caused in a joined part of the roll shaft part and the roll body part, enhancing the thermal shock resistance of silicon nitride ceramic, and preventing a roll from being fractured by thermal shock during the use. <P>SOLUTION: The roll comprises a hollow roll body part and hollow roll shaft parts formed of ceramic, and the roll shaft parts are integrated with both end parts of the roll body part.
