<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a surface protective film having excellent hard coatability and high transparency and having an interference fringe preventive effect in the entire visible ray region at low cost and a method for manufacturing an optical film with a high-performance antireflection function. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film obtained by laminating a hard coating layer on the surface of a transparent base material is characterized in that the reflection spectra in the visible ray region of 360 to 800 nm in wavelength do not have a maximal value. Also, the optical film is characterized in that the amplitude (maximal value-minimal value) of the reflection spectra indicating the relationship between the reflectivity and wavelength in the visible ray region of 360 to 800 nm in wavelength is ≤0.5 in the entire region of the visible rays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
