摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for asymmetrically synthesizing an optically activeβ-hydroxy-α-substituted carboxylic acid ester, capable of being furnished with high diastereofacial, enantiomeric selectivity which conventionally seems to be difficult. SOLUTION: An optically activeβ-hydroxy-α-amino acid ester or an optically activeα,β-dihydroxycarboxylic acid ester is synthesized by reacting an aldehyde compound with an aminosilyl enol ether compound or anα-alkoxyketene silyl acetal compound in the presence of a chiral zirconium catalyst.
