<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a joined part of a first sintered compact which includes a first multicomponent metal oxide having a perovskitic or fluorite crystal structure and a second sintered compact which includes a second multicomponent metal oxide having a crystal structure of the same type as the first multicomponent metal oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The method of forming the joined part includes the steps of: providing the first and second sintered compacts; further providing a joining material containing at least one metal oxide which contains (i) at least one metal of an identical group in the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) periodic table as at least one sintered compact metal in one of the multicomponent metallic oxides, (ii) a first row D-Block transition metal not contained in the multicomponent metallic oxides, and/or (iii) a lanthanide not contained in the multicomponent metal oxides, which is free of metals contained in the multicomponent metal oxides, and free of cations of boron, silicon, germanium, tin, lead, arsenic, antimony, phosphorus and tellurium, and which has a melting point lower than the sintering temperatures of the sintered compacts; and heating to a joining temperature above the melting point and below the sintering temperatures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
