PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method for a sheet form article, in which the sheet form article coated with a coating liquid is sent to a box body into which air regulated to a predetermined drying temperature is supplied, and passed through the box body to be dried, and which prevents an insufficient drying of the coating liquid which is produced at the starting time of the sending of the sheet form article coated with the coating liquid. SOLUTION: This drying method comprises a preheating process 51 supplying the air regulated to a predetermined preheating temperature higher than the drying temperature into the box body 11 before the sending of the sheet form article coated with the coating liquid into the box body 11 and a drying process 52 supplying the air regulated to the drying temperature into the box body 11 after the sending of the sheet form article coated with the coating liquid into the box body 11.
