PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove metallic foreign substances in plastic waste through efficient classification. SOLUTION: A first metal detector 11 is disposed in the carrying passage of the first belt conveyer 10 receiving fed plastic waste and carrying to the other end, and detected waste containing metallic foreign substances are removed at the end of the conveyer 10. Then, the removed plastic waste containing the foreign substances are received by the second higher-speed belt conveyer 20, and metallic foreign substances are detected by a second metal detector 21 on the way to the other end.
