The bearing for a shaft turning at high RPM has a floating bush installed in a housing. Each floating bush (3,4) on the end face (8,10) sides facing the shaft (2) has radially outwards extending, ring-form recesses (11,12) formed by inclined faces, and the inside diameter (13) of the locating discs (6,7,9) adjacent to the end faces is smaller than the radial height of the recesses. Radially extending slots (15,16) are located in the end face sides and/or in the locating discs.
