PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CRT grounding wire which is capable of reducing the number of parts, easily fixing its main body to a CRT (cathod ray tube) to improve the working efficiency, and reducing man-hours. SOLUTION: The CRT grounding wire is constituted so that it is diagonally provided on the back of the CRT 2 coming into contact with it, the lower end of the grounding wire main body 1 is wound on a lower one of lugs 3 of the CRT 2, the root of an annular part 1c and the tip and its vicinity of the grounding wire main body 1 are inserted into a fastener 6, the fastener 6 is equipped with a first opening 6a where the root is inserted and a second opening 6b where the tip is inserted, the second opening 6b gets gradually narrower as it approaches its top side, and the top edge 6c of the second opening 6b is formed so as to have an acute angle, so that the tip and its surrounding part of the grounding wire main body 1 can be stopped from moving back.
