PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-insulated transformer which is intended to realize harmonization of environment by reducing load to the environment and improvement in reduction in size of a tap switch and in stability of operation. SOLUTION: A change-over switch 21 of the tap switch 6 is accommodated within an insulated housing 24 configured in double-structure. In more detail, the insulated housing 24 is formed of an internal housing 23 and an external housing 22 which are respectively formed of insulated cylinders, the change-over switch 21 is disposed inside the internal housing 23. Moreover, the inside of the internal housing 23 and the area between the internal housing 23 and the external housing 22 are filled with the SF<SB>6</SB>gas, and pressure of this gas is set higher than the pressure of the internal housing 23.
