METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLUORINE-CONTAINING COPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing copolymer having decreased concentration of metal element acting as an impurity source. SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing copolymer is produced by an emulsion polymerization method in the presence of ammonia water as a pH adjuster. The fluorine-containing copolymer is separated from an aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing copolymer obtained by the emulsion polymerization method by coagulating the copolymer with a coagulation agent preferably consisting of a cationic surfactant and a water-soluble organic solvent. The emulsion polymerization is preferably carried out in the presence of an anionic surfactant as an emulsifying agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
