PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fuel coke for sintering suppressing NOx (nitrogen oxide) produced in a sintering process and to provide a method for producing the fuel coke for sintering. SOLUTION: The fuel coke for sintering is characterized by comprising≥0.5 mass% of a catalyst composed of at least one kind of an alkaline earth metal, an alkaline earth metal compound, a transition metal and a transition metal compound or a mixture of two or more kinds thereof in powdered coal having≥1.1 mm average particle diameter.
