PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater having high amenity by reducing an odor when stopping combustion in the heater for switching hot air heating and radiation heating. SOLUTION: A combustion stopping control part 53 performs fire extinguishing operation for extinguishing the combustion of a combustion part by stopping jetting of fuel vaporized gas from a vaporizing part by closing a nozzle 31 by an electromagnetic solenoid 33 after a first prescribed time after stopping fuel supply of a pump 22 when stopping the combustion; performs the fire extinguishing operation as it is when stopping the combustion of radiation heating operation in this fire extinguishing operation; performs the fire extinguishing operation by switching a high temperature gas switching means 46 to the radiator side when stopping the combustion of hot air heating operation; and improves a use feeling by restraining generation of the odor when stopping the combustion by switching to the hot air blowout port side again thereafter.
