SLUDGE THICKENING SECTION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge thickening section structure which enables thickened sludge obtained by dehydrating flocculated sludge in a thickening vessel and having high concentration to be surely sent out of the thickening vessel. SOLUTION: In this sludge thickening section structure, a rotary filtering means 17 arranged in the thickening vessel 16 is provided, liquid containing flocculated sludge 8 supplied into the thickening vessel 16 is made to pass through the filtering means 17 to be separated, sludge adhered to the filtering means 17 is removed from the means 17 by being scratched with the sludge deposited on a bottom part of the thickening vessel 16 and/or by blowing compressed air thereto to obtain thickened sludge 12 in the thickening vessel 16. Further, a thickened sludge supply means 14 for supplying the sludge 12 outside the thickening vessel 16 is about horizontally provided in front of one side in a radial direction of the means 17 so as to be located at a side opposite to a side where a naturally dropping means 10 of the thickening vessel 16 is connected.
