A technique of removing a second linear image object from a first image object overlapping with the second linear image object in one image composed of effective or ineffective pixels, comprising a line segment extracting step of extracting a line segment from the second linear image object, a removing step of removing the second linear image object form the first image object, a pixel extracting step of extracting scanned pixels sequentially by scanning a line segment proximity area on the first image object, an effective pixel judging step of judging whether or not each extracted scanned pixel is an effective pixel, and a pixel supplement step for deriving a perpendicular line to the nearest line segment from the scanned pixel that is judged to be an effective pixel at the effective pixel judging step and making all the pixels on the perpendicular line effective pixels. |
