PURPOSE: A terminal for providing a bell sound by receivers and its operation method are provided to make a bell sound designated by a receiver registered with a corresponding phone number(a caller phone number) by comparing the caller phone number with a previously stored phone numbers of each receiver. CONSTITUTION: When a call signal is received by a terminal for providing a bell sound by receivers(301), a CPU(Central Processing Unit) checks a phone number of the received signal and displays it on a display unit(302). The CPU compares the phone number with phone numbers of each receiver, which are stored in a memory unit of a terminal for a personal service in order to search a receiver who inputted the corresponding phone number(303). If there is one receiver corresponding to the caller phone number, a corresponding bell sound designated by the receiver is made(304). When call communication is terminated(306), the receiver can register the phone number of the corresponding caller in its phone book(307,308), and then, the corresponding information is transmitted to a personal information management server(309).
