PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a signal coming from a desired radio station and to use the signal for computing a position. SOLUTION: A method for computing the position includes the steps of measuring the receiving timing of the signal transmitted and received between base stations 1-10, 200 and a mobile station 11, and computing the position of the mobile station by using the receiving timing and the receiving position of the signal. The method further includes the steps of acquiring address information necessary to specify a reception signal used for computing the position, analyzing the address information included in the reception signal, and selects the reception signal used for computing the position based on a comparison of the acquired address information with the address information analyzed from the reception signal.
