PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote management device and remote diagnostic device for duplicating machine, copying machine, or the like that utilize a public line. SOLUTION: The remote management system comprises one or a plurality of remote-managed devices having an image forming function (image forming devices 11), a data communication device 12 which communicates for data with the remote-managed device through a radio communication line, a central control device 14 connected to the data communication device 12 through a public line 13, a radio parent station 101 which is incorporated in the data communication device 12 or connected to it, and a radio slave station 2 which is incorporated in the remote-managed device or connected to it.
