PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus whose installation construction work is easy and efficient. SOLUTION: Even when random connection is made to connectors CON1-CON8 of a base station when antennas ANT1-ANT8 are connected to the base station, later an antenna changeover switch 2 switches the connection, and connection relation suitable for reception of a diversity system and reception by an adaptive array processing can be established. A control circuit 8 transmits a radio wave from any one of the antennas via a test radio wave transmitting circuit 11, and the other antennas analyze the level of radio wave, thereby knowing the relative positions of the connected antennas. Based on this result of analysis, an antenna selection control circuit 9 controls the switch 2 to re-connect the antennas. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
