PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a thin stepping motor that can be driven at high speed. SOLUTION: A stator unit 20A excites an A phase of the stepping motor that can be driven with two phases, and another stator unit 20B excites a B phase. Both units are arranged on a plane perpendicular to a shaft of a rotor 10 which allows a thin structure. Also, approximately a half of pole teeth 23a, 23b inside a stator of the stator unit 20A are displaced at 90°or 270°by an electrical angle from the remaining pole teeth 23a, 23b inside the stator of the stator unit 20A. This structure makes it possible to decrease the number of teeth that face magnetic poles arranged on the outside circumference of the rotor 10, ease the effect of cogging torque, and achieve high speed drive.
