PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively distribute detailed information to consumers interested in an advertisement. SOLUTION: An advertisement distribution system 20 distributes an advertisement to a user having a portable type user terminal 10 with a communication function. A stay detection part 24 detects that the user is staying in an area in which an advertising medium such as a poster installed in a street can be browsed. When the stay detection part 24 detects that the user is staying there, a staying purpose decision part 26 decides whether the user is staying in the browsable area for the purpose of browsing the advertising medium or for another purpose. When the staying purpose decision part 26 decides that the user is staying in the browsable area for the purpose of browsing the advertising medium, a distribution processing part 28 distributes to the user the detailed information on the advertising medium.
