PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device in which a paper position detecting CCD sensor for detecting and controlling a printing position in the axial direction of a photosensitive drum can be simply replaced and stable printing position accuracy can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic device which is provided with the CCD sensor arranged in parallel with the axial direction of the photoreceptor drum, and a printed board mounted with the CCD sensor and an LED being a light source for the CCD sensor, and in which paper in traveling for printing is set so as to cover only one of CCD sensor elements with the paper, one end of the sensor element which is not covered with the paper in traveling is covered with a cover so as to shield light from the LED.
