PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress energy consumption and heat generation due to a switching loss in driving an electromagnetically-driven valve 200. SOLUTION: An ECU determines whether the solenoid-driven valve is in a suction period (S10). When the solenoid-driven valve is determined to be in the suction period (Y of S10), the ECU determines whether the suction period is a first suction period according to a position of a valve body (S12). When the suction period is determined to be the first suction period in which the valve body is located near the neutral position (Y of S12), the ECU sets an upper control frequency f<SB>42</SB>or a lower control frequency f<SB>45</SB>to a low frequency (S16). When the suction period is determined to be a second suction period in which the valve body is located near a completely opened position or a completely closed position (N of S12), the ECU sets the upper control frequency f<SB>42</SB>or the lower control frequency f<SB>45</SB>to a high frequency (S14).
