PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chicken egg sorting and packaging apparatus capable of reliably packaging eggs according to the size and the forwarding destination of eggs without stopping the operation of the egg sorting and packaging apparatus even when eggs are intentionally taken out before eggs are transferred from a predetermined assembly section to a common packaging means. SOLUTION: Eggs sorted by the grade class are stored in a temporary container for transport having an information recording medium, and egg weight division information of the eggs is recorded in the information recording medium. The recorded egg weight division information is read before the temporary container for transport reaches a common packaging means, and the egg weight division information is indicated.
