PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the compacting, installation and maintenance of a device for maintain a residual chlorine concentration in tap water stored in a water storage tank (high-level tank) of a building or a condominium. SOLUTION: In the residual chlorine concentration maintaining device provided with: an electrolytic cell 5 of electrolyzing tap water containing chlorine ions and generating chlorine; a circulation pump 6 of circulating tap water stored in the water storage tank 1 through the electrolytic cell 5; and a residual chlorine sensor 7 of detecting the residual chlorine concentration in tap water in the water storage tank 1, and where the electrolytic cell 5 and the circulation pump 6 are started and stopped based on signals from the residual chlorine sensor 7, the residual chlorine sensor 7 is stored in the door 10b of a cabinet 10 in which the electrolytic cell 5 and the circulation pump 6 are installed. The residual chlorine sensor 7 is integrated into a common same casing of the apparatuses such as the electrolytic cell 5 and the circulation pump 6, so that the installation and piping are facilitated, and further, the installation space is reduced.
