Projection welding equipment and a projection welding method, the equipment comprising a product-shaped mold (11) having, thereon, two sheets of welded articles (1a) and (1b) either of which forms a projection (1c) at a weld position and which are overlappingly opposed to each other so as to hold the projection (1c) and formed in the finished shape of the welded articles (1a) and (1b) and first and second electrodes (2a) and (2b) installed so as to be moved forward and backward relative to the welded articles (1a) and (1b); the method comprising the steps of pressing the first and second electrodes (2a) and (2b) against the welded articles (1a) and (1b), passing a current between the first electrode (2a) and the second electrode (2b) through the product-shapes mold (11), and concentrating a pressing force and the current to the projection (1c) to fuse the projection (1c) so as to weld the welded articles (1a) and (1b) to each other.
