The invention relates to a pressure sensor (1), comprising a pressure monitoring cell (18) and a base body (10), through which a pressure channel (11) with a flame arrestor runs, by means of which the pressure measuring ce ll (18) may be pressurised with the process pressure using a transfer medium. T he pressure channel has a first section (13) and a second section (12), with th e flame arrestor arranged in the first section (13) and the second section (12 ) comprises a drilling in which a filler body (16) is arranged. The gap betwee n the drilling and the filler body is produced with a large tolerance such as not to fulfil the requirements of a flame arrestor. The flame arrestor in th e first section (13) is produced, for example, whereby the first section comprises a drilling in which a filler pin (14) is arranged and the remainin g gap between the drilling and the filler pin satisfies the requirements of a flame arrestor.
