Process and installation for the treatment of hydrocarbons and for the separation of the phases produced by this treatment

A pair of supply units (10,20) supply raw material of hydrocarbon and gas into a processing chamber (1). The gas and the liquid fractions in the chamber are separated by separation units (280,310,350). An extraction pipe (70) removes gas fraction to outside of the chamber. The portion of the liquid fraction is separated into a reaction chamber (2) as liquid raw material, for reaction with hydrogen. The recycling units (30, 190) recycle a portion of the liquid fraction in the processing chamber. The level of expansion of the contact zones (700,701) are controlled to extract gas and liquid fractions from the processing chamber. The distance of gas fraction from an exit orifice is larger than 0.5 times the internal diameter of the processing chamber. An independent claim is also included for a hydrocarbon processing method using the above apparatus.
